South Region Qualifier 2024

The South Region Qualifier for the RDA National Championships was held at the Berkshire College of Agriculture on Sunday the 19th May 2024. It was a beautiful sunny day and although there were understandably lots of nerves, all our participants rode extremely well and we had a really wonderful day.

Team Lambourn RDA were very well represented with six participants and two horses as well as three independent participants riding their own horses. Overall the standard was very high and we are delighted that some of our participants will be going on to compete in eight ridden classes at the National Championships. Christopher Houchin not only competed in a dressage class, but he also submitted two entries in the Arts & Crafts Competition coming first in both also qualifying for the Nationals in July.

Section B Grade 6 Walk Only

Ellen Benn riding Milford Sound (Millie) – 1st and qualified with 66.18%

Section B Grade 6 Walk & Trot

Emily Halsey riding Milford Sound (Millie) – 1st and qualified with 66.94%

Penny Burton riding Milford Sound (Millie) – 2nd and qualified with 66.39%

Christopher Houchin riding Dustys (Harley) – 3rd with 65.28%

Rosie Truby riding Dustys (Harley) – 4th with 63.33

Countryside Challenge

Led or 1 side walker – Tommy Moore riding Milford Sound (Millie) – 6th with 70.50%

Arts & Crafts

Sculpture – Christopher Houchin – 1st and qualified with 96.66%

Photography – Christopher Houchin – 1st and qualified with 95.00%
