National Championships 2024
The RDA National Championships
We had an amazing three days at the RDA National Championships at Hartpury this year with four of our own Partipants and three independent participants from the new group AIM, who are currently working as RDA while they wait to be formally established as their own group.
Day One
It was a great first day at the Championships with Team AIM competing with their three particiapnts. Congratulations to Tara, Sophia and Frankie for superb tests in Performance Showing and Dressage. A special mention for Sophia who did amazingly well on an unexpected borrowed pony from Park Lane!
Thank you Park Lane
It was also exciting to see the RDA President, HRH, the Princess Royal who arrived to present some RDA Awards.
Day Two – Super Saturday
We had a really fabulous day on Saturday with Emma coming second in her Class and Penny coming fifth. They both rode beautifully and Millie was a star. The AIM Team also did brilliantly with Frankie coming first in her SJ Class and was also awarded the Class Champion Sash. Sophia and Frankie also won their their dressage classes and Frankie came second in her dressage freestyle, just half a percent behind the winner!
Day Three
We had another wonderful day with Ellen and Millie.
Very well done Ellen coming 4th with 70% in a very large Class with the top 4 all being within 3% of each other.
A brilliant end to a fabulous three days of competitions.
A special mention must go to Millie, who not only performed beautifully for Emily, Penny and Ellen, but also did a Grade 7 Walk and Trot test with the Wyfold Group, and a Countryside Challenge test with the Lowlands Group, coming 6th in both – what a star pony
The Arts and Crafts Results are declared and Christopher came first in the Photography Class and sixth in the Sculpture Class. Well done Christopher.
