  • Freddie
    Freddie

Freddie joined us in August 2024 with his best friend Marmaduke.

He is a miniature Shetland pony. Freddie is 8 and is quite opinionated, but very gentle and loving.  He has been ridden in the past, but hasn’t been saddled recently, so we will be working with him gently to get him used to being ridden again. He lives out in a paddock with very little grass, or in a small yard with Marmaduke and Lily, who also shares the paddock and yard.

Freddie is currently taking part in our non-riding therapy sessions, but we hope to use him for riding therapy soon.

  • Marmaduke
    Marmaduke

Marmaduke joined us in August 2024. He is a miniature Shetland pony.

Marmaduke’s age is unknown, although his passport was issued in 2008. He is a very gentle soul and really enjoys lots of attention and being led around the arena.  He lives out in a  paddock with very little grass, or in a small yard with his best friend Freddie who joined us at the same time. He has made freinds with Lily, who also shares the paddock and yard with.

Marmaduke is part of our non-riding therapy team and everyone who meets him, falls in love with him.

  • Red
    Red

Red is joined us in March 2024 and although it has taken a bit of time to get him back into work, he is now being enjoyed by many of our participants.

He has very kindly been given to us on loan by the mother of one of our participants, which is amazing! Red measures about 16 hands high and he is a chestnut gelding. Before joining us, Red had been enjoying a quiet life in a field and he is a very gentle friendly horse. We feel very lucky to have Red in our equine team and he is a huge asset to our group.

  • Kali
    Kali

Kali is a 14.2 New Forest Pony and she is on working livery with Lambourn RDA at Manor Farm.

This means her owner kindly lets us use her for our RDA sessions and she also is ridden by her owner, which gives her the best of both worlds!

She has fitted in really well and is being enjoyed by many of our participants.

  • Larry
    Larry

Larry joined us in October 2021 and has become a valued member of the team.

He is a 14.2, 11 year old piebald (black and white) cob and he came from a home where he had done a bit of everything.

As one of the younger members of the team, he still has lots to learn, but he is taking everything in his stride and is very versatile, looking after a wide range of our participants as they take part in our riding therapy sessions.

  • Harley
    Harley

Harlequin, known as Harley, is a 15.2hh piebald Irish cob, and he arrived just before Christmas 2020. He has settled in really well, making friends with our other ponies and in particular Millie, who he shares a paddock with.

He is 14 years old and has been an RDA horse for quite a number of years, most recently as a much loved member of the South Bucks group of the RDA. He is very kindly on loan to us and we are extremely lucky to have him.

  • Wilbur
    Wilbur

Wilbur joined us in March 2018, and he has become a firm favourite. He was bought with money kindly donated by the Wooden Spoon Charity, which we are extremely grateful for.

He is a registered New Forest pony and although he was 13.3hh when we bought him, he has definitely grown. He is now 11 years old, and he is a real character, but very gentle with all our riders.

  • Millie
    Millie

Millie joined us in March 2020 and is another pony bought with funds kindly donated by The wooden Spoon Charity. She is a 14.1hh strawberry roan New Forest Mare and will be just the right height for many of our riders.

She is 14 years old and has come from a local home where she has been a children’s pony doing a bit of everything. She is very sweet natured, and a perfect RDA pony.

  • Lily
    Lily

Lily is a welsh mountain pony and she is 12.2hh and 15 years old. She is a lovely little pony, ideal for our smaller riders.

Lily gives all our younger first time riders so much confidence and she loves just to be groomed and patted. She also enjoys going out and about to meet people at fund raising events and is always very popular wherever she goes.
