We had a full house for The Evening of Drama with Jane Austen which was put on by Tame Productions on Saturday 6th November to raise funds for our group.
The performance took place in 1797 in the childhood home of Jane, The Rectory in Steventon and was played out in the form of a narrative, which included an exert from Pride and Prejudice. The audience were given an entertaining insight into the life of Jane with much humour and whit and it was very well received and enjoyed by all.
As always our fund raisers could not take place without the generosity and support given by many and we would like to thank Linda Tame for writing and producing the play, Paul Tame for the sound and lighting and the actors, Graham and Tracey Renwick, Anna Corns and Sue Flitter for travelling from Cornwall and Dorset. In addition we were treated to a delicious selection of canapés kindly prepared by Simon Whitley and helped on the evening by a number of our volunteers.
A truly memorable evening.
